Illinois America 250: AL CENTRO DELLA NOSTRA STORIA NAZIONALE

La Commissione America 250 dell'Illinois, in collaborazione con l'Ufficio del Turismo dell'Illinois, sta sviluppando un sito nazionale di siti storici, musei e monumenti che riflettono i modi ricchi e diversi in cui gli illinoisani hanno dato vita agli ideali della Dichiarazione di Indipendenza.
Il contributo dell'Illinois alla storia americana è iniziato molto prima del 1776 e continuerà ben oltre questo anniversario. I siti sono organizzati in quattro temi dell'America 250 dell'Illinois:

RIVOLUZIONE AMERICANA
Sebbene l'Illinois non fosse ancora uno Stato quando fu firmata la Dichiarazione d'Indipendenza, ospita molti siti storici direttamente collegati alla Guerra rivoluzionaria e agli anni successivi.
