This chip-timed race starts in Downtown Joliet and runs through the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site. Walkers and runners are welcome to participate.

The Joliet City Center Partnership (CCP) is excited to host the 3rd annual Stone & Steel Spooky 5K on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 8 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume. A hat is included in the race fee but may not be guaranteed if registering after September 24th. Registration will remain open the morning of the race beginning at 7 a.m.

Awards will be presented to the male and female with the best overall time and by age group (0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 +). 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place overall Female and Male will receive special awards. Must be present to receive award. Awards will not be mailed.

Half of the proceeds will be donated to Joliet Central High School's chapter of the National Honor Society which recognizes students who excel in the four pillars of NHS: leadership, scholarship, service, and character. All NHS students have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Selected members participate in a variety of service projects and leadership events.
