Spring Lake Park is a public park located in Macomb, Illinois. The park is home to 230-acre Spring Lake, areas for camping, and three mountain bike trails.
Spring Lake is the freshwater reservoir for the city of Macomb and is noted for superb bass fishing which annually draws several regional fishing tournaments. Furthermore, the lake is a perfect place to hike, mountain bike, camp, lease a cabin or rent a Kayak, Canoe, Paddle Board or Pontoon Boat. You’ll also find a cross-country running course. Spring Lake Park and Campgrounds’ bucolic setting is, quite simply a wonderful place for the family to get in touch with nature.
For biking, Spring Lake Park in Macomb, IL. has three different singletrack trails ranging in intermediate to difficult. At 10 miles in length this park has a nice smattering of everything an adrenaline junky would want. The trails here are tight in some spots with a few ladder bridges, log piles and even a teeter-totter, and the hills just keep coming with jumps that make you feel weightless.
