Harvard Milk Days
Fri, Jun 06 – Sun, Jun 08, 2025
300 Lawrence Road, Harvard, IL 60033
Don't miss the longest ongoing Hometown festival in Illinois with classic events like big wheel races, bed races, farm tractor and equipment displays, festival, milk drinking contest, and so much more!
It all began on Thursday, June 18, 1942, with 3,000 men, women, and children in attendance to honor the local dairy farmers and industry during wartime. The location was on a raised wooden platform at the intersection of Ayer and Brainard Street. Here, everyone listened to speeches, sang songs, enjoyed the baton twirlers and dancers, and drank 500 gallons of milk.
