Peterson Park has playground equipment, miniature golf, disc golf, picnic tables and shelters, restrooms, sand volleyball, basketball courts, tennis courts, horseshoe pit, hills for snow sledding and beautiful scenery. A canoe ramp for access to the Embarras River was installed in the fall of 2007. A new aquatic center opened in 2010 with a state-of-the-art bathhouse and concession area, 90' spiral water slide, wade-in zero depth area, lap pool and diving area with two one-meter diving platforms.
