Dixon Student Art Show at The Next Picture Show

The Next Picture Show in Dixon, IL, is proud to present its first-ever Student Art Show, a month-long exhibition from March 26 through April 26 during regular business hours. The Gallery is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The exhibition features a diverse collection of artwork, including 2-D, 3-D, digital, and video pieces, created by young artists in grades 9–12. In addition to exhibiting their talent, participating students will have the opportunity to sell their artwork, gaining real-world experience in the art industry.

A panel of judges will evaluate the submissions, and cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded to outstanding pieces. For students considering a future in the arts, exhibiting and earning awards can be valuable additions to resumes and college applications.

The public is invited to The Next Picture Show’s opening reception on Friday, March 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This celebratory evening will feature music, light refreshments, and an awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m. Friends, family, teachers, local artists, and art enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and support these emerging artists.
