Step back in time and experience the charm of a working farm show at the 10th Annual Bos Brothers Old Fashioned Threshing Bee, happening July 25–27, 2025, in Erie, Illinois! This family-friendly weekend celebrates traditional farming with live demonstrations of wheat harvesting, threshing, milling, and baking into fresh, homemade bread.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can catch John Deere Unstyled Tractors in action, along with other fascinating demonstrations including rock crushing, blacksmithing, sawmilling, wood turning, rug weaving, basket weaving, pottery throwing, and much more. There’s truly something for everyone—including hands-on crafts like macramé, and local goodies like fresh honey and maple syrup.
Sunday morning kicks off with a barn church service at 9:30 a.m., open to all, followed by an exciting tractor pull in the afternoon hosted by the Back Road Pullers. The event runs daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with demonstrations wrapping up by 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission and parking are free, and both food and modern restrooms are available on-site. Visitors interested in participating with a working display or field demonstration are encouraged to reach out.
