Arthouse in Aurora, Illinois, is a vibrant new American restaurant and bar located at 5 E. Galena Blvd., right in the heart of downtown and next door to the iconic Paramount Theatre. Opened in late 2024 by the team behind The GOAT Burger + Cocktail Bar in Batavia, Arthouse brings an “upscale casual” dining experience to the Aurora Arts Center, blending a creative menu with a lively, art-inspired atmosphere.
The restaurant’s décor pays homage to the city’s arts scene, featuring walls adorned with artwork, album covers, and portraits of artists across genres, while plans are underway to add a projector for screening silent films in the main dining area. The menu is diverse and approachable, offering 12 different burgers, six sandwich varieties, four salads, and a wide range of appetizers and entrees-from nachos, fried pickles, and wings to lamb satay, mussels, and fried rice balls. There’s also a dedicated kids’ menu, making Arthouse a welcoming spot for families as well as theatergoers and downtown visitors. Guests praise the quick service, delicious food, and upbeat vibe, with music and décor that reflect Aurora’s creative spirit.
