Don't miss the 5th Annual Celebration of African Freedom from Slavery in America.
Be a part of our 5th Annual Celebration of Juneteenth (June 19th) also know as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day. This celebration commemorates the end of the institution of Slavery when two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union Soldiers led by Major General Gordon Granger forced Galveston, Texas to give up their slaves. This local celebration includes guest speakers, live entertainment, DJ, art & craft vendors, food trucks, games, giveaways, 3pt basketball shooting contest and lots of fun for the whole family.
